Funerals in the traffic light system
With the new Traffic Light System there are different restrictions and limitations on funerals and tangihanga at different settings. Regardless of the traffic light setting, funerals and tangihanga can still go ahead. As of April the 4th 2022 vaccine passes are no longer required to attend.

There can be up to 200 people in a single defined space at an indoor venue at any time.

The limit includes children under 12, whānau pani and ringawera.

There is no limit to how many people can be at an outdoor venue.

You can travel anywhere to attend a funeral, tangahanga or viewing.

Food can be served.

There is no limit to how many people can attend a funeral, tangihanga or viewing.

Face masks are encouraged to be worn.

There are no restrictions.
If for some reason you have loved ones that are unable to attend the funeral, then we are able to live stream the serivce so they can attend from wherever they are.
